Join other women in nurturing old and making new friends. Treat yourself to a fun filled weekend just for you!!! Read, relax, and sleep or participate in activities such as belly dancing, drumming, singing, dancing, hiking, playing,
listening, sharing and attending a variety of workshops.
Relax in the hot tub or schedule a private massage.
“Zen away” tension and stress with an acupuncture facial and
aroma therapy session. Ahhhhh!
Enjoy a break from cooking and dishes as the caring camp staff takes care of preparing the meals and doing the cleanup. There is so much to share with one another at our annual retreat. We hope you join us! Friends of UU’s are welcome too!
This Year's Theme: "Your Faith Matters"
What does it take to have a faith that is strong? A resilient faith? A faith that can carry us through hardship and help us piece together meaning in our turbulent, unpredictable lives?
How does your faith speak in and through your life? And can you talk about any of this with others, both in and outside of your congregation?
My passion is to inspire people to want a faith-life that reshapes their lives, and to equip people with the tools they need to build a faith that can fill their life with meaning and purpose. I want us all to thrive and grow through every age and stage in life.
I look forward to spending a weekend sharing stories, shaping meaning and helping you find a renewed sense of purpose. Come...Grow...Live....Love....Thrive at Camp de Beneville Pines Women's Retreat 2012.
Please join me as we gather women to grow in faith and friendship.
About the Keynote Speaker:
Rev. Jennifer Owen-O'Quill is the minister at Tapestry Congregation in Mission Viejo, CA. Jennifer served in urban Chicago for 10 years, first as the UU Campus Minister at the University of Chicago, then as the settled minister at Second Unitarian Church of Chicago, and finally at Micah's Porch, a new church founded by her husband, who is also a UU minister, Rev. David Owen-O'Quill. Jennifer and her family moved from Chicago in August of 2011 to return to Southern California, where Jennifer grew up.
Jennifer is leading and developing new materials for the UUA's Fund for Unitarian Universalism in a project called "Share! Tools for UU Evangelism." She was also part of the Teaching Pastors Planning Team that worked with the faculty of Meadville Lombard Theological School to develop the practicum aspects of the Master of Divinity program that prepares women and men for UU ministry. Her passion is to help Unitarian Universalists develop meaningful spiritual lives, and to empower the spiritual leadership of Unitarian Universalists everywhere.
