Dear Campers,
On behalf of the board of directors, I need to share some sad news with our camp family. Janet James’ beloved husband of 35 years, Robert (Bob) Gampp, passed away on August 28, 2021, after contracting COVID.
Bob’s love for Janet, and his ensuing love for camp, allowed Janet to do the two things she loves most, care for her family and care for her camp family. He understood and accepted her commitment to both these families and supported her completely. Janet lost her mother in December to COVID and now her husband. She is still somehow managing to steer camp forward while trying to deal with two profound losses.
