Volunteer Work Weekend
Friday, May 10 to Sunday, May 12, 2024
We’re so excited to announce an upcoming opportunity to volunteer over a WEEKEND. It’s a great time to give back to camp with a little hard work and good fun while enjoying spring in the mountains.
Camp needs able bodies and helping hands to get camp ready for summer! We need about 20 volunteers to do important work such as fire clearance, wood splitting, downed branch removal, staining and painting, cleaning light fixtures, cleaning out the game cupboard…the honeydo list is endless!
You may arrive as early as 11am on Friday, May 10th and bring a picnic lunch to enjoy. Camp will provide delicious meals after working up an appetite from your labor of love.
It’s amazing how much we can accomplish together!
We have room for 20 energetic and generous, individuals, age 11 and older, who are willing to spend a little “sweat equity” at Camp. You’ll leave knowing your efforts are appreciated by the staff and will ensure that future campers have a safe and wonder experience at Camp.
Weather can be variable, so dress in layers and work at your own speed. Wear enclosed shoes and old clothing.
You don’t have to come for the whole time — If you need to leave early on Saturday afternoon that’s okay too. But if you can stay the whole weekend, think of what we can accomplish together! Just let us know in the registration form if you plan to leave early. This information will help us plan tasks and meals.
And Sunday, May 12th is Mother’s Day. We will honor all the moms who come up to work on Mother’s Day! And we will understand if you need to depart to get to a family event.
COVID UPDATE: Camp no longer requires proof of vaccination at check-in, however, you will be required to show a negative Rapid Test result upon arrival before mingling with other volunteers. Please self-test before leaving home and read the policy below.
